Program Manager
Lisa Juckette

Meet Lisa—Program Director, career coach, mama of three, doula, vocalist, rowing enthusiast, and all-around community cheerleader. In her role at Project Iowa, Lisa leads and supports workforce programs with a big heart, deep wisdom, and a strong belief in meeting people exactly where they are. She brings both strategic vision and grounded, relationship-centered leadership to the work—often showing up in the community herself, especially at food pantries and partner sites.

Lisa is deeply passionate about early life experiences and believes the way we begin matters. That belief led her to train as a doula and become a lifelong student of midwifery. Whether she’s guiding program staff, supporting participants through career transitions, or walking alongside families during birth, her message is consistent: you already have everything you need inside you.

Raised on a farm outside Atlantic, Iowa, Lisa grew up showing cattle, refinishing furniture for 4-H, and wearing the crown as the Cass County Fair Queen. She studied early childhood education at Central College, where she somehow managed to play rugby, cheer at basketball games, and manage the wrestling team—all at once.

Outside of work, you’ll find Lisa jamming with local musicians, rowing on the Des Moines River, creating collage art inspired by the divine feminine, or laughing loudly with her people. She loves Project Iowa for its soul—an organization that walks its talk and invests in people with dignity, trust, and care.

If you’re lucky enough to work with Lisa, expect to feel heard, supported, and genuinely empowered—whether you’re a participant, partner, or teammate.
